Garden Circumspective - Flowers and Nature Find Their Way into Abstract Art

I hate gardening, but I love gardens! Who doesn’t like colorful flowers and lush green plants?

Deep reds and bright blues are my favorite flower colors. When I was planning my wedding over thirty years ago, I would have loved a red, white and blue wedding, but that just wasn’t done back in the eighties. It was all pastels at that time - mostly pink, maybe yellow.

So, I asked for blue. But, I did not want that pastel blue. I wanted deep, dark blue. I wanted dutch irises in my bouquets, and I got them. But, they were tied up with baby blue ribbons and surrounded by baby’s breath and white tea roses.

I’m just not into pale colors, even though this painting has some nice white highlights and paler blues. The dashes of yellows, bursts of reds and smatterings of aqua would make an ideal garden mix, to me, in any backyard garden (or indoor garden sun room).
