Preparatory Concoction - Primary Colors in Abstract Paintings

Preparatory Concoction - Primary Colors in Abstract Paintings

I concocted this one during my experimentation with primary colors, but this one is more subdued. The colors mixed together nicely, and I like the more deliberate (prepared) pattern.

I am beginning to be able to “control” the paint more and determine the patterning that I desire.

Control can be a good thing and a bad thing, and control is definitely a theme in my life. Just ask my husband! I go through phases of thinking I should release control more and other times when I don’t realize that being controlling is, in some ways, ruining my life.

Painting - especially the method I am using - is great practice for releasing control. It is, of course, very therapeutic, and I take a certain amount of pride in being a “crazy artist.”
